Some nights aren’t just about the music—they’re about the people the music brings into your life. For me, that moment came full circle at the Diesel Lounge, the night I went to see Tantric, a band that’s been a part of my life’s soundtrack for years. I’ve been lucky enough to know them personally, and every time I get to reconnect, it feels like coming home.
That night wasn’t my first Tantric show, but it was one I’ll never forget. Hanging out with the guys again was like picking up right where we left off. There’s something special about watching people you admire not just perform but grow over the years while staying grounded and real. We talked, laughed, and shared space like old friends do. That energy, that connection—it never gets old.
But the real twist of fate came when they introduced me to Heather and Brittany. Two badass women with hearts full of fire and souls tuned to the same frequency as mine. They already knew Hugo and the band too, so the vibe was instantly easy, genuine, and full of that “meant to be” energy. Somewhere between the laughter, drinks, and shared stories, the three of us became The Powerpuff Girls—each of us bringing our own kind of strength, sass, and spark to the trio.
What makes it even more beautiful is how different we are on paper. We’re all in different stages of life—one of us in our 30s, one in her 40s, and me in my 50s. Yet somehow, none of that matters. We connect like sisters—soul sisters—with a bond that runs deep. A connection built on honesty, laughter, love, and the music that brought us together.
Even though I live almost four hours away and they live in different cities as well, we stay close. We talk on the phone, check in with each other through messages, and send little surprise gifts that show up exactly when they’re needed most. It’s the kind of friendship that feels effortless and rare.
And we’re just getting started. We already have plans to see Shinedown, WRIF Fest, and maybe even sneak in a few spontaneous visits or road trips in between. The universe clearly had a plan the night we met, and we’re here for every part of it.
I owe it all to Tantric. This incredible friendship, this unexpected sisterhood, all started because of a shared love for their music. One show. One night. That’s all it took. And I truly believe that’s the magic of music—it doesn’t just entertain you, it changes you. It connects people who were meant to find each other.
So if you’ve ever wondered if going to that one concert is worth it—go. Because sometimes, it’s not just about seeing your favorite band. Sometimes, it’s about meeting the people who will change your life.
Peace, love and Loud Music 🎵
