Concert Season Is Here — And I'm Living for it

Every year around this time, something stirs inside me — the anticipation, the energy, the craving for live music under open skies and stage lights. But this year feels different. After everything I’ve been through, my spark is slowly coming back — and concert season is setting it in motion. The music? It makes me come alive.

And it all kicks off with something I’m incredibly proud of:

Troutzillafest — happening this Saturday April 26, 2025 during the National Trout Festival.

I’m running this one, and it means the world to me. We’ve got an incredible lineup of local talent: Take Heart, MEDS, Graves Crossing, and headlining is none other than Mick Blankenship — a rock force who’s shared stages with legendary bands and is blowing up on TikTok with his gritty vocals and undeniable presence. If you haven’t seen him yet, this is your shot.

But Troutzillafest is just the beginning.

May 7th, I hit the road for Testament at The Machine Shop, and from there it’s full throttle. I’ve got shows lined up at Diesel Concert Lounge, Pine Knob, Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, and Soaring Eagle Casino for Def Leppard. I’ll be camping out at Vans Warped Tour in Washington, D.C., and again for the Rock 4 Vets Festival — because nothing compares to ending a concert night under the stars, heart still pounding from the last song.

Along the way, I’ll be meeting up with my ride-or-die concert crew, Heather and Brittany, for some much-needed loud therapy and unforgettable memories. If you know us, you know we don’t hold back when it comes to living in the moment.

One show that will hit on a deeper level is Pantera in Detroit. I’ll be there with an old friend, headbanging in honor of Jason, my ex-husband. The first time I ever saw Pantera was with him at Pine Knob — and we even got to meet the band at Harmony House. That memory has never faded, and this show is my way of keeping it alive.

This season isn’t just about concerts. It’s about revival. It’s about reclaiming my joy. It’s about feeling alive again — one guitar riff, one lyric, one night at a time. This is more than a concert season — it’s a movement, and a love letter to the music that keeps us going.

This is my journey.

2025 is going to be my year of music — the year I chase every note, every beat, every memory waiting to be made. And guess what? You are coming with me.

Stay tuned — I’ll be blogging after every show, sharing the moments that matter, the magic from backstage, maybe even a few surprise interviews with bands along the way. This is my journey, and I’m letting the music lead.

Let’s make it loud. Let’s make it count.
