"Why I've Been Away: A Reflection on My Writing Hiatus"

Hello everyone,

You may have noticed my absence over the past few weeks/months. Life has a way of pulling us in different directions, and lately, I've found myself caught in the whirlwind of life, work, family leaving, death of loved ones and depression. I've missed this space, missed sharing my thoughts, my experiences, and most of all, missed connecting with you.

In this post, I want to share a bit about where I've been, what I've learned during this time, and how it’s all brought me back to writing with a renewed sense of purpose.

I have not written a blog since May because I have been dealing with a lot, from work being slow, to being more work than normal, to dealing with my son's health issues, to saying I am gonna take this summer and do the one thing I love and that is attend concerts and festivals. Then my daughter moved 3 hours away. Then came some hardships as well as some deaths of people who were once a big part of my life.

In the past 3 months I have been struggling on what I want to write about and struggling to find the time to sit and write. I have started a few blogs that are saved in my drafts with ideas and I think I may now finally have the time to finally sit down and write.

I wanted to update everyone and also explain why I am writing these blogs. The main reason is for my adult children, so that they can look back after I am no longer on this beautiful planet and have something that they can smile about and remember their music loving, life loving mother. The other reason is for all of you that love to read about someone's experiences when it comes to music and life.

So now that I have updated all of you on what is going on, I plan on releasing a new blog every weekend. Starting this up coming weekend. So stay tuned for my next adventure.
